Hi and welcome to my first ever Tutorial.

First of all, you may be wondering:

- Why did he create this?
- Don't we already have 1 guide?

The answer is quite simple: I created this because I'm a bit tired of seeing people creating characters with no quality.
And it's true that already exists one, but I wanted to make one more detailed.

After reading all the Tutorial, if you still have any doubt, just ask me and I'll answer all your questions as soon as possible. :amused

Before Beginning

You'll need an image editor program.
I recommend these two: Photoshop and Gimp. But you can use any other image-editing program.
(Note: Photoshop is a trial. If you want it to last forever, then buy it.)
(Note: Gimp is free. You don't need to waste money.)

Note: I use Photoshop CS3, so this Tutorial will explain you how to create characters using Photoshop.
With Gimp I think it's almost the same. Check this if you have any doubt - Basics - , or any other Gimp site

And you'll need these things to create a character:

- A template;
- Color Scheme;
- And reiatsu: Hakouda, Kidou, Reiryoku, Zanpakutou and Random.

Note: Open the files, and save them to your PC.

Now it's time to take care of the images.

And where do I get pics from?
I prefer to download the episodes in high-quality, to have better images.
But if you don't want to download them, then check these sites:

- Youtube (for better quality, try to find videos with High-Quality)
- Good old Google;
- Or any other site where you can watch Bleach for free.

Don't ever rip/steal images from other people.

Q: How do I take pictures from videos?
A: Just press "the magic button that is in your keyboard", aka Print Screen Button.
Q: And then?
A: Then do what I do on this video - Click
Q: And then?
A: At this time, you should stop asking " And then?". It's time to put the image on the template.

Rework your images to have the better quality you could get, and don't exaggerate. If you exaggerate on the brightness, contrast, saturation, etc., the image will look ridiculous. Try to find the image's "G spot" :laugh

For the face image, try to find an image of the character looking at the right (if he is looking at the left, you can always rotate canvas horizontally :blink

). When putting them on the 75x75 square, make sure that we only can see their face (from chin or somewhere near the chin, to the middle of the hair - just look at some characters, and you'll understand).

For Classes, you should read this: Go to the Classes part

Note: You can use other settings. There are only the ones s-A use.

Tips:
- Try to make short descriptions;
- If the skill has a lot of effects or something like that, don't use smaller font to make them fit on the box. Just enlarge the description box until the text fits;
- Try not to make spelling and grammar mistakes. If English isn't your first language, then search for a translator on the Internet;
- Don't create silly names, like, "Super-Hiper Punch", or any name that sounds silly and/or looks like those noob clans (you know what I'm talking about);
- Also try not to make all skills' name look the same (example: Hollow Ichigo - Hollow Slash, Hollow Block, Hollow Madness, Hollow Getsuga Tenshou) ;

Fourth Step

Finally, it's time to take care about the character's balance.
Use the Reiatsu images I gave you in the beginning and drag them to the image. Make sure the reiatsu is well positioned.

Tips:
- If the character is strong in the anime/manga, don't try to make their character strong, because it will look overpowered.;
- Try to be creative and original. Don't make always the same type of character that deals the same damage. Innovate. A lot of people like that, and your work will look cooler;
- Don't make strong skills with little reiatsu cost, and high cooldowns. The skill can be way unbalanced;
- Try not to make characters with a lot of reiatsu usage. Sometimes they are unbalanced, and they look bad;
- Try not to make the "3 damaging skills + 1 invulnerability skill" type of character. Add something that makes them unique and interesting;
- Only follow anime/manga when doing a different skill (explained on the sentence above). For example, if the character helps a lot their team (in the anime), try to make him a good support character (Hanatarou, for example);
- Always check your character before saying "It's done". It sometimes can have some errors, or it can be a bit overpowered/underpowered.

Your character should be something like this:

Fourth And a Half Step*

If you want to create a mission to your character, you'll need this: Mission Template.

Open it up and you'll see 2 white boxes. This is to put the images you want for the mission.
Size
Small Box - 75x75
Large Box - 263x175

Then you need to add the texts. This can be had because you don't have the guidelines to out the texts in the exact position, but try your best to make it look acceptable. Look at S-A missions and try to put the texts on the right positions.
Title of the Mission on the Upper Left Corner;
Title next to Special Missions;
Normal Texts - Missions info, etc...

Check always if you have any typo or something. Use the Spell Checking option that Photoshop has.

Fifth Step

It's almost done.
After all this, you'll need to upload your character. If you don't know what that is, just sign up on any of this websites:
- Photobucket;
- ImageShack;
- TinyPic;
- Or check Google for any other site.

Then, upload your image, and copy the link of the image.

Final Steps

- Go to S-A to the Custom made Characters section;
- Now, if your character is from Bleach click here ; If your character is hand-drawn, click here ; and if your character isn't from Bleach and isn't hand-drawn, click here;
- Create a topic. If you don't know how to create a topic, just search for this image and click it:

- This image will appear:

- Fill the Topic Tittle and Topic text areas;
- If you want a poll, add the question + the possible answers,
- Finally, search for this image and click it:

- At this time, you can say "Finally! It's done";
- Now, just wait for the replies to the topic. Accept all the constructive criticism and try to improve.
