Garrinski closed his eyes and slowly dropped his head.
“So….I take it you simply wish to kill me? Very well, but I hope you don’t think less of me if I try and defend myself. I will find this man I seek and if you stand in the way of this path you will surely be moved.” said Garrinski.
Suddenly a figure fell from the roof of a house behind the three pirates. A dagger lunged at the throat of Treydore, but the hand that thrust it was caught by a chain. Diego stepped to his captain’s side immediately. Flashy’s arm was caught in an intense hold. He could feel the tension building on his arm and soon fully rotated his body to free himself.
“Anxious to see your blood spilled, eh dear?” taunted Uye.
Flashy stood erect. His medium frame was nothing to be trifled with. His facial muscles surged with passion. And the blood rushing to his head gave him a red hot tint.
“You killed them all. You’ve all sinned and now I will show you the weight such actions bear. DIE PIRATE SCUM!” erupted Flashy.
“Oh my this might get out of hand a little too quick,” Garrinski began. The horde of pirates began surrounding Garrinski. He put his staff out in front of him with one hand and stuck it firmly into the ground. They all came at him pretty recklessly and with quite a lot of noise, but the fight was short lived as the lone defender connected to all their faces with a few punches and kicks. They all lay out on the ground shortly after in either agony or unconsciouness. He grabbed his staff and began walking towards the three remaining pirates.
“Leave this fool to me, dear Trey,” said Uye. She quickly jumped forward to meet Garrinski in the center of the street. Her hands still remained beneath her shirt when Garrinski held out his staff horizontally in a halting pose.
“You know I have no intention of harming a woman who is unarmed.” queried Garrinski.
“Then that’ll just be making my job that much easier,”hissed the woman as she quickly turned and tried to land a kick on the man.
She spun feverishly a style Garrinski was most accustomed to. He continued parrying the blows one after the other until a blow landed of his cheek. He barely had time to recover and watch the arms of the woman again. It was simply perplexing and terrifying at the same time. He kept his eyes on the front of the woman and since she made no effort to hide her arms or expose her backside for more than a quarter second he found himself unable to sense any movement from the hands inside the cloth at all. Her fighting style was easy enough to deal with, but these speedy punches were impossible to sense.
Flashy meanwhile was at odds with his own foe. Diego was silent and showed almost no sign of human emotion. He kept a distance from Flashy for a bit while he tried striking with his chain in a whipping fashion. Flashy returned the attacks with his own dagger projectiles. He knew he’d have a much better shot getting close in melee and soon got behind his foe with an incredible burst of speed. A slight twitch or surprise could be seen in Diego’s eyes, but this was soon matched with a cool resolve. As Flashy’s dagger buried itself in the shoulder of his foe he felt something incredibly warm tear at his own body. At his free arm was attached a set teeth. This man’s chain was keeping this crazed wolf creature leashed and it had all of a sudden come to the aid of it’s master. A moment of distraction was all it took for Diego’s elbow to connect with the side of Flashy’s head. His body was thrown against a nearby wall, prompting a release of his arm by the beast.
“Meet Jaws,” said Diego. “He’s hungry. So die now.”
Seeing both his foes in front of him put Flashy into a devilish mood. A wicked grin swept his face.
“We’ll let me show you my demon pet,” snarled Flashy. He reached in his ragged vest and dropped his Kunai to the ground. The chain that fell with it he slowly wrapped around his hand. “He’s always hungry, but I don’t think either of you will be enough to appease his appetite.”
Flashy went back on the offensive for a bit. Throwing his kunai past his foe and catching a few scathing blows on his retrieval pulls. Diego was still as slow as before, but with the wolf beast just as quick as Flashy he had to keep firing his dagger projectiles at the canine when it got too close. Soon the dog had run out of sight and Flashy couldn’t track it by chain alone. He focused again on Diego, but as quick as his attention had left the beast, it found itself buried into Flashy’s flesh once again. Something was wrong. There was no way this dumb beast knew the exact moment Flashy let him be. He struck again as Flashy was distracted, but it was making no sense why. Diego remained silent as he whipped his fist around. All of a sudden the long chain found it’s place around Flashy’s neck. His reddened face was becoming more of a picture of death than rage and fury.
Garr wasn’t faring any better. He was getting slowed and fuzzy headed from all of the blows being dealt by Uye. His emotions were calm, but body beginning to suffer.
“Now what treachery is this?” asked a hooded figure from a distant rooftop. All combatants gave their attention to the new stranger looming on top of the house. “I asked…what TREACHERY is this?”
“And just who the hell are you?!” roared Treydore.
“Some call me a vigilante. Enemies know me as vengence. But if a name touches your ears before I severe them from your head just remember, Vash.”, said the stranger.
“We’ll isn’t this convenient. We were just about to finish off these little lost travelers who were looking for you. Not that I know why they would be looking for someone as weak souding as you. But if you’d be so kind to hurry up and get down here, we’ll end your life just as quick.” said Treydore.
“Unfortunately for you I have come here seeking death, but not mine, only yours. Before I begin tearing you apart though, I’d just like to dispel a couple of the little cheap tricks you’ve been using to subdue those looking for me.” Garrinski and Flashy began listening in amazement to this new man with an intense curiosity. “First off, your woman their has a couple of boards hanging in front of her chest. Probably to distract away from her arms rolled to her backside. A very deceptive technique indeed, but nothing special for someone who can recognize any wood and it's tree of birth from the clack of two boards together.”
Garrinski grinned as he too had noticed only recently the blows being from a much different position of attack. This Vash guy was good. “Now for the man with the wolf beast. Besides being slow as ice melting in winter that whistle trick is quite annoying. It’s quite an irate pitch. Maybe not sensible by most human ears, but to a dog or creature of similar hearing ability it’s as good as shouting out loud. Flashy grinned viciously at this news.
Vash jumped down to the street and slowly drew his blade into sight. A long double bladed sickle. One side with sleek, pointed, and long, while the other was quite short and curved. He drew this weapon to both his hands and began to charge Treydore. “I’m sorry but your death won’t be shared with any others.”
Garrinski gripped his staff now firmly in his hands. He began a full spin and accumulated much speed into his swinging. “It turns out I’m not assaulting an unarmed woman after all, so I hope you don’t mind if I finish this a bit quicker than I’m sure you’re use too. You’re tricks aren’t bad, but you don’t have too much ability put into basic combat I bet. As the whirling continued much to Uye’s frustration something almost distorted began coming at her. They looked like attacks but nothing was landing, until all of a sudden, a flurry of blows came on that completely blindsided the woman. She lay motionless on the ground and Garrinski steadied himself as he looked on to his fellow fighters.
“I’ll make you cry for forgiveness you pathetic pirate rat!” roared Flashy. He wrapped his kunai chain on his fist and quickly dealt a hard blow to the wolf attached to his leg. As the wolf let go Flashy spun his body around and out of the chain strapped to his neck. Upon freeing himself he made his move towards Diego. As he watched Diego’s lips purse together his jerked as hard as he could on his kunai chain. A high pitched yelp inches from Flashy’s ear is all he could hear in the next instant. Moments before he had swung a noose around the animal’s neck before pounding him into submission. The untrained creature was so use to wearing a leash that it didn’t notice such a lightweight contraption tapped onto it’s neck. Flashy quickly wrapped a length of the chain around Diego’s neck releasing the hurt beast. Immediately it ran back into hiding while it’s master gasped in pain. “Your sinning has now come to an end. Allow this demon to usher you to the gates. Unfortunately no beast will head to your call down there.” In the next instant Diego lay dead sprawled out on the street corner dead.
Vash came at his foe with extreme vigor. Treydore bore his axe with matched intensity. Their weapons clashed and they stared one another down as blows doubled over again and again with much power. A fierce look of determination was forming on the crimson clothed captain's face.
“Enough!” yelled Treydore. He threw his axe into the air and retreated back bearing two smaller single handed axes. Flashy charged forward and began swinging at the Captain almost effortlessly almost restraining himself for some reason. Each of his attacks didn’t connect to anything but steel. “Prepare to learn why they call the Decago, the Flame of the Purple Sea, you bastard!” hollered Treydore. He grasped one of his axes and launched it at Vash. Vash dodged it and was then met immediately by a body blow as Treydore which sent him flying way back. Immediately after this assault Treydore hurled his final axe in a crazy arc towards Vash. It missed by quite a bit, but that didn’t stop Vash from throwing his scythe to meet the weapon midair and barely deflect it’s trajectory. Treydore’s eyes widened, “W-what!? W-why!?…How did you know?!!”.
Garrinski and Flashy stood in puzzlement for a moment. They couldn’t put together what had just happened.
“I know that axe wasn’t intended for me. It reeked of flint. Just as that big axe over there reeks of gunpowder. Those decorative balls aren’t just for show I take it. Those are bombs. And from your reaction I take it that your ace in the hole just went down the drain.” calmly explained Vash.
“But the hearing, the s-smelling, who the hell are you?!” bellowed Treydore.
“I told you I am a vigilante for blind justice. I am the vengence that fights the unseen evils of the world. My name is Vash Atewonto.” stated Vash sharply.
“Atewon-t-to, you don’t mean…..the blind warrior?” stammered Treydore.
“Yes, and now it’s time for you to meet your fate.” said Vash. He approached Treydore who fell to his knees and turned his sight skyward. In one fluid motion Vash laid his scythe to his side and turned back to his partners in justice. Treydore lay fallen behind him.
