Bibio's music has been described as being an electronica mix of The Beach Boys and The Beatles. His Experimental style makes every song of his a true work of art. I highly reccomend giving this album a try if you're into electronica and/or folk; it doesn't disappoint the ears. If you hadn't noticed, I bolded songs that you should really listen to.
dunno how I missed this, but Ambivalence Avenue is easily my least favorite album of his. Hand Cranked and especially Vignetting the Compost are much better, IMO.

I recommend listening to My One And Only Thrill, Our Love IS Easy, and this version of Les Etoiles.

_____

I love everything about this album. I love the artist, her story. It's the only music I know that only I listen to (between me and my (e-)friends). It's not popular, for all of you who are so anti-Pop. Give it a shot.

Lupe Fiasco's second album is four parts concept album, analysis, deconstruction, and self-therapy.

As Lupe fiasco discovers himself through the death of family members, the loss of friends, and overall hardships, he comes to his own music for comfort. As he continues to write the story behind Micheal Young History, (a man who followed the life of the cool depicted in most rap music, risen from the grave, given a chance at redemption), he starts to analyse the lives of the mainstream rap artist, and the conditions they must live under to keep their record sales on top.("Not to be rude, I'm just hating on your rules/ruse") Then, begins to deconstruct their rules/ruse with songs like "Gotta Eat", "Dumb It Down", "Hip-hop Just Saved My Life", and "Baba Says Cool For Thought".

Various songs take several listens to catch all of the metaphors, references, and various concepts surrounding the song, so be prepared to take pen to paper to fully grasp the album.

But, just like any other thing hard to grasp, it is immensely rewarding when you do.

BATS - Red In Tooth & Claw

Genre: Punk

Length: around 48 min give or take. Foobar wont tell me.

Tracklist (bold names are sexy):
1. Higgs Boson Particle
2. Gamma Ray Burst: Second Date
3. Credulous! Credulous!
4. Andrew Wiles
5. Lord Blakeney's Arm
6. The Cruel Sea
7. Shadow-Fucking
8. BATS Spelled Backwards Is STAB
9. Star Wormwood
10. Vermithrax Pejorative
11. The Barley

Standout track:
The Cruel Sea

This album is a killer genre mashup orgy and I came. Every song on this is good and listenable. Two minutes into Shadow Fucking I felt it got a bit repetitive, that's the only track I felt the urge to skip. The lyrics are creative and a bit silly but they're delivered in a way that draws you into it and you forget how ridiculous some of the stuff he's saying is:

I describe my life in mathematics
As a darkened mansion
I stumble into furniture seeking the switch
To cast a feeble light on my secret endeavor
A black raptor's feather

I think I've got it , grips with all the darkened bits
All the kissing lips
Snarling in this room

All the bending curves, all the ancient words
Will the light confirm
A theorem so revered
Spartania

Gamma ray burst is easily the winner on that album.
Also, did I show you this?

Yeah, that's where I got it too.

EDIT: Also, I wouldn't call it punk. It's post-hardcore with some prog and math elements, but not really punk.

Birds In Row - Cuttbus

Genre: Post-Hardcore

Length: 21 min

Tracklist:
1. Among The Ashes
2. Colossus
3. Words Of Astaroth
4. The Ace Of Fools
5. Chat Noir
6. A Kid Called Dreamer
7. Outro

My Favorite Track:
Words Of Astaroth & Among The Ashes

Among The Ashes is a very good opener, I was starting to doubt it at first but it hits hard once it gains momentum. I wasn't disappointed at all. The album is short but I prefer that to unnecessary bits that drag the whole thing down.

Giraffes? Giraffes! - More Skin WIth Milk-Mouth

Genre: Math Rock

Length: 28 Minutes

Tracklist:
1. When the Catholic Girls Go Camping, the Nicotine Vampires Rule Supreme.
2. I Am S/H(im)e[r] As You Are Me And We Am I And I Are All Our Together: Our Collective Consciousness' Psyc
3. The Ghost of EPPEEPEE's Ghost
4. Emilie Sagée's Secret
5. A Quick One, While She's Away

Favorite track:
When the Catholic Girls Go Camping, the Nicotine Vampires Rule Supreme.

This shit is pretty rad. It's pretty mathy, with changing time signatures, technical guitars, and wacky drumming, but it's certainly not dissonant. In fact, it's at times catchy (There are various parts of Catholic Girls that get stuck in my head all the damn time), and in general pretty easy to listen to. It's almost entirely instrumental, save for a minute or so long vocal sample near the end of S/H(im)e[r], which I find interesting, and actually listen to carefully every time it comes up.
All in all, it's right next to Critical Meat for my favorite math album, which is something I'll have to recommend later.

10. "Mutt" 3:23
11. "Wendy Clear" 2:50
12. "Anthem" 3:37
Total length:
35:17

Description: Ahh, where do I begin.. this album has gotten me through most of High School. I mean, it was how blink-182 got popular. The singles, which are still played on the radio today, are very catchy and uplifting sounding songs. For instance, "What's My Age Again?" has one of the most catchy guitar riffs I've ever heard. Along with "All The Small Things", that song has one of the most catchy choruses I've ever heard. And there is also the last single entitled "Adams's Song", It's an anti-suicide song. The lyrics go really deep into the band members past experiences. Also, here is a disturbing fact about this song, A columbine shooting survivor hung himself in his garage with the song on repeat. Freaked me out when I first heard about it. It has some great guitar riffs, drumming is very roomy and powerful, and the bass follows up with the guitar. Tom Delonge's voice is also something you might remember from childhood, that whiny nasally sounding voice. xD Anyways, it's an overall great album imo. 4.5/5. Please check it out. :)

The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place - Explosions in the Sky
Genre: Post-Rock, Ambient
Total Length: 45:37
Released: November 4, 2003

Track Listing:

First Breath After Coma - 9:33
The Only Moment We Were Alone - 10:14
Six Days at the Bottom of the Ocean - 8:43
Memorial - 8:50
Your Hand in Mine - 8:16

My Description

If you're thinking of getting into the Post-Rock kind of vibe, I suggest that you listen to this album first. Ready your ears for a full on instrumental, don't expect something fast or you'll be disappointed. The album focuses on the guitar's melodious work rather than just the chugging or power chords and whatnot. Expect a lot of build ups and crescendos. A lot of these tracks heavily use their distortion and delay effects, as for the composition, they like to add a lot of layers to their main melody. Expect a lot of repetition.

I consider this album as one of the better post rock albums made. The songs makes the listener feel the emotion more than the blues. They make you ride your own roller coaster of emotions. The simple riffs tend to stick to your mind like super glue.

There are two songs here that were used in movies. "Your Hand in Mine" was used in the Friday Nights Live soundtrack while "The Only Moment We Were Alone" was used in the trailer for Australia, and in the films "Love the Beast" and "Capitalism: A Love Story"

I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5.
